ICF Design & Detailing

ICF construction requires specific detailing at openings, corners, floor connections, and roof transitions. We review plans for common mistakes, advise on block selection and wall thickness for your climate and loads, and ensure your ICF design will perform as intended for the life of the structure.

We work with Nudura ICF systems and have direct experience with the full range of specialty applications — multi-story residential, safe rooms, observatory structures, and complex geometries.

Net-Zero & Energy Strategy

Achieving net-zero isn't just about adding solar panels. It starts with load reduction — building an envelope tight and insulated enough that mechanical systems can be right-sized, then layering in renewables. We help map out that strategy from the earliest design phase.

We can review energy models, advise on DOE Zero Energy Ready certification requirements, evaluate mechanical system options, and help you prioritize where your dollars make the biggest performance difference.

Builder Training & Crew Education

ICF installation has a learning curve. Mistakes made during the pour — inadequate bracing, improper rebar placement, pour rate errors — can be catastrophic. We offer hands-on crew training either on-site or ahead of your first project, covering form stacking, bracing systems, buck installation, pour sequencing, and stripping.

For builders adding high-performance capabilities to their business, we can also serve as an ongoing technical resource — available to answer field questions as your team builds confidence.

Plan Review & Spec Writing

We review architectural and structural drawings from a high-performance construction lens — identifying thermal bridges, air barrier continuity issues, moisture management gaps, and mechanical conflicts before they become field problems.

We can also assist with specification writing for ICF systems, insulation strategies, window performance requirements, and mechanical system sizing criteria — giving your project a technical foundation that holds up through construction.

Site Visits & Construction Observation

For projects in the greater Austin and Central Texas area, we offer on-site consultation visits at critical construction milestones — foundation, ICF wall pour, rough mechanical, and envelope close-in. An experienced eye at the right moment catches problems that are expensive to fix later and impossible to see after drywall.

Remote Consulting

Not in Central Texas? Most of our consultation work can be done remotely via video call and document sharing. We've assisted builders and homeowners across the state with plan reviews, ICF specification guidance, and net-zero feasibility assessments without ever stepping on the job site.
